Stop Guessing: Create a Strategic Website That Supports Your Health Business Goals
Every health or wellness business is unique.
Whether it’s your specialty, your audience, your process, or your offers — your business has its own DNA. And your website should reflect that.
A nutritionist focused on families needs something very different from a burnout coach for high-achieving professionals. A yoga instructor offering group classes will have different goals than a holistic health practitioner focused on 1:1 deep healing programs. And if you offer multiple types of services — like coaching and speaking engagements — your website strategy has to make space for both.
Why a Website Without Strategy Fails to Convert
That’s why the first thing we do in any website project is: get clear on the strategy.
Not just “What should it look like?” but:
What are the goals of your business this year?
Are you looking to grow your 1:1 coaching client base? Launch a group program? Establish yourself as a speaker in the wellness space? Your website should reflect and actively support those goals.
What are the goals of the website?
Do you want it to generate free consultations, collect email sign-ups, or drive direct sales? Maybe it needs to do more than one, and often it does. Clarity here determines the user journey.
What actions do you want visitors to take on your site?
Think beyond 'just browsing.' Should they download a lead magnet? Book a discovery call? Purchase a session? Watch a video? Strategic calls-to-action guide your visitors toward the next step.
What pages should you include?
A coach offering both programs and speaking will need pages for each. A “Work With Me” page might cover services, while a “Speaking” page showcases topics, past talks, and a booking form. Don’t forget a lead magnet page, About, Blog, and Contact.
What structure and content should each page have to support those goals?
For example, your homepage should immediately speak to your ideal audience, build trust with testimonials or story-based copy, and offer multiple ways to connect or take action. Your “Work With Me” page should clearly outline offers, who they’re for, and include CTAs to book or apply. Your “Speaking” page should speak directly to decision-makers at schools or companies and include key topics and a media kit.
Getting the strategy right helps guide your copywriting, your homepage layout, the services you feature, and even the words you use in your call-to-action buttons.
Real Strategy Example: Building a Site That Reflects Your Offers and Audience
One of our current clients is an Ayurvedic Doctor & Coach who is expert in this domain and a speaker who offers a variety of services — short-term programs, long-term coaching, and professional speaking for colleges, universities, and corporate wellness events.
During our web strategy call, I built out detailed audience personas. But through our conversation, we uncovered even more insight: about 30% of her client base is male, and in the case of student programs, it’s often the parents who are researching and making the decisions.
🧩 That shifted everything:
We adjusted the language and tone of the content
We planned for a dedicated speaker page with a clear booking CTA and featured event topics
We made space for email opt-ins and free resources for warmer leads
We ensured the navigation was clean and intuitive for busy professionals
Website Strategy Drives Design, Content, and Results
This is what strategy does — it guides every design choice, every word on the page, every photo, and every user interaction.
Because a website isn’t just something you “need to have.” It’s something that should move your business forward — whether that means getting more coaching clients, booking more paid speaking gigs, or building a list of engaged email subscribers.
If your website isn’t bringing in the right clients — or any clients at all — it’s usually not because it’s “ugly.” It’s because it’s unclear, unstrategic, or simply not aligned with your business.
Align Your Website With Your Business Goals
🎯 Whether you’re trying to:
Fill your group coaching program
Book more consultations for your health practice
Sell out your next retreat or wellness event
Attract more paid speaking opportunities for your wellness talks
Build an audience of engaged leads through email marketing
…your website needs a content and design strategy that supports those goals.
